Telecommunications Act 103 of 1996

To make new provision for the regulation of telecommunication activities other than broadcasting, and for the control of the radio frequency spectrum; and for that purpose to establish an independent South African Telecommunications Regulatory Authority and a Universal Service Agency; to repeal the Radio Act, 1952, and the Radio Amendment Acts of 1957, 1962, 1963, 1969 and 1974 and to amend the General Law Amendment Acts of 1957 and 1975.
